If any of us out-of-towners happen to be up that way when one of these working weekends is on, are we able to join in?

BUMP This is still planned for the 14/15/16 Nov

Discussion has been to concentrate on track maintenence for those summer months, with a couple of helpers to finish off the bits in the hut, if we can get the use of a digger etc on the cheap that might be useful (Gazza).

I will chase up Paul and Graeme with this as it would be good to get the plumbing finished.

Maybe we can spend a little bit of time fixing up the gazebo as well?

The canopy from the old Challenge Petrol Station along Fergusson Drive in Upper Hutt would make a great Gazebo, it would cover the existing Gazebo, the parking area, the camping area and probably the hut too.

At the moment it is just sitting there, the only remnant of that petrol station.

It would be nice to have a shower up there at some stage and do you know how the fire is going..? We may need to have a look at doing something with the wall in the gazebo to stop the wind coming in...So what ever people want to do . Isnt the firewood loop the next weekend after that...

tracks that must be done are....to donut hole, wong way, cruiser drive (nicks hole to wong way), sliding away (road side), trim scrub up bean hill, maybe look at surprise as tree needs moving.
we need to make some of these accessible to trucks running smaller tyres ........ so bring shovels spades picks loppers chainsaw if you dont want to work but want to drive dont come

Slightly off topic but would a clothes lines up there be a good idea. I can bring one up it's a old extendable one, still works fine but has got a little rusty living next to the sea. If not, in the tip it goes
