Child Restraint Anchor install for 94 Terrano

Has anyone installed a car seat anchor point in a 94 Terrano? Wanted to know where it was installed and whether any reinforcement under the body was used.

hi mate,havent installed one in a terrano but have put one in a surf and skyline,we bought the anchor bolts from and they come with a 50mm washerwhich goes under the floor to spread the load which is more than enough to support the anchor for a childs weight,as for position tho that was trickyer,becoz it has to be put in on the centreline of the babyseat and then the strap angle has to be right,ie,if the strap goes up over the top of rear seat then it needs to be anchored closer to back to truck,but like in my surf its just behind the rear seat but we fold the seat down and carseat goes in front,ihope thats helped a bit

Ok thanks heaps! I have the anchor bolts with the 50mm washer...just wasn't sure if the washer was going to make it strong enough.

Did it to my terrano, 50mm washer was fine. Just ran the belt straight down from the back of the seat to the floor.

When I did my 91 I used the bolt that that is in the back of the seat back that is used to hold th seat flat when is folded down. (if that makes sense) I never had to test it but looking at the factory ones in many cars I cant see it being an issue. I cant remember whether I reused the original bolt or got a proper one to fit.
