X5 Maxis Crawler 35X12.50-15inch tyres ONLY
(rims not for sale)

I will not be selling the tyres separately. So it's buy the five of nothing. (sorry)

These tires are all in near new condition with a tread depth of over 15mm.
They have had no punchers. All the side walls are in perfect condition.

Save yourself some money and buy these.
Reason for sale?
The tread pattern isn't to my liking but I'm in no rush to sell.

You can view them in Chch at "4X4 Accessories". Ask for Nick on 03 365 1909.
Or you can chat to me.
Pete 021-100-1408

They're on TradeMe.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =187489779

Start bid of $1500 or buy now at $1750. ($350 each)
Retail they sell at over $400 each. So you'll save at least $250 on a set.

Nah nothing bigger Kaney. Don't think my truck would handle anything bigger than 35's the way it is.
I've brought same size (35's) but the Simex Extreme Trekker tyres. The 3 knob type.

Which brand are you talking about? The Maxis or the Simex?

A friend of mine manages a branch of Tonys tyres here in Chch.
He tells me since Firestone n Bridgestone brought them out a few months ago other tyre brands don't want to know them. They can't get the good deals anymore. (it's understandable)

I've brought the last 16 tyres for my Holden off this guy. He's always got me the best deal. But not any more. Oh unless it's a Firestone or Bridgestone tyre. On the Holden I run the old Goodyear Eagle F1's 245/40 18's. I used to pick em up for $270 each. That was the best deal for a good tyre.

The new simex tyres I'm getting are through Nick at "4X4 ACC". he could do a better deal than my mate at Tonys.

The Creepys

Told ya Tonys are stuffed getting the good deals now Firestone and Bridgestone own it. My mate has told me sales have dropped plenty since the sale went through.
I think you'll find the normal retail price for those 35 inch Creepys I got are anywhere from $380 to $420 per tyre.

All my Creepys did was the Shefield mud plug event. Even then I only managed half before the clutch gave up. So I was glad i used a car transporter to get me there and back.
These tyres are in near new condition.
The reserve is $300 each. The buy now is $350 each. I thought that was a fair price.

I'd like to tell you who he is. But I'm sure he wouldn't like to be named on a public forum. i can only tell you what he told me. he's a bloody good manager so I'm sure he'll find more work.

To be honest. If I was the owner of a tyre shop like that and wanted out for as much as it's worth? I would of done what the owner's done. He's made a bomb out of it and started with nothing. GOOD ON HIM!!!!

The only reason it did well was because it was privately owned. No big tyre shop owned it. Now they do it'll loose it's edge. But that's just what i think. It employs a lot of good people and it would be sad to see those jobs go.

Does that mean free puncture repairs are a thing of the past as well. Was never too keen on Tony's anyway as the idiots couldn't balance my silverstones. I went down to Rick's asked if I could do it myself and got them balanced pretty near enough to "o". Sorry for the thread hijack Pete, but knowing you have a set of Simex's on, you will have to come out next weekend for Rick's birthday and show how they spin on the V8 40.
