Couple of Q's for MU owners

Post by muddymatt »

Hi as the new owner of a Mu I have a couple of questions for those who have been there and done it before.....

I am at present busy getting rid of bits I don't need, like the A/C, the emmissions air pump, front anti roll bar, all the intake plastics etc...

I have read about ball joint flipping but as far as I can tell on the Mu the lower B/J is already under the arm - should I space it further down?

I will be tweaking the torsion bars for more height at the front and longer shackles at the back - can a friendly other Mu owner measure thier longer shackles so I know what metal I need to get?

I am sure to have more questions but that will do for now.

Cheers Matt

Yeah the egr is next to go. Mine is a 2.6 efi petrol but it's still got a plumbers nightmare under the bonnet!

It's not road legal so I can pretty much do what I want.

I will give it a blast on the Laurie Sanson on the 11th and see what works and what needs attention!
