Gabriel shocks

Post by giovanni »

Ciao Team,

I took the 'shiny' 1998 3.1 Wizard MU in for a service yesterday.
Have been informed the rear Gabriel gas shocks #91704 ,which I purchased locally and fitted myself not many 1000kms back, are leaking.
What could have caused this?
This may explain why the rear end suspension has always been bumpy and hard riding.

This vehicle is pampered. It does little if any towing and does not go off road.
I am not impressed with this situation as I now regret dumping the old ones plus I am loosing faith in Gabriel shocks. The local supplier is investigating, but with only 12 months warrenty I am not holding my breath.

Any one else had a similar experience?
Which make of shock do you recommend?
I am very happy with the Monroe Adventures on the Pantry so may get them.
"Make love to a Pantry owner. We need more of them!"
