good brake pads for landcruiser

Post by xorph »

Its cert time for my 70 series and I need my brakes to be in top shape to pass the 100-0kph in 4 secs brake test requirement.
Its got newish 'Silverline' brand pads from repco on front but they are terrible, Im convinced the std toyota pads work much better.
What is a good brand of pads that will help it stop better and also last the distance? Im prepared to spend a couple hundred to get quality this time.
Cheers,
Matt

I always use Bendix pads for my 4wd's, find they pull the hippo up quite well, although the compound I use work a lot better with a little heat in them

I second the ferodo pads, They stop my truck awesome! And about half the price of bendix. Got a set of bendix here for my surf which i got given, which i'll try out next time.

Bendix make a 4WD front pad, they are the only ones that stop my 70# in all conditions, they are a soft pad and with mud and crap in them you don't get many K's out of them, about $80 a set.

FITZY.

thought I should update for others' benefit,
ended up going with Ferodo Excell pads as they were the best I could get in a short time.
I can highly reccomend them to Cruiser owners, can now lock up the wheels in dry. cost about $70 I think
