I have a 90 series prado, but would recommend 24 valve 80 or 100 series cruiser over that.

Keen to see what you think of the big yank wagon. You shouldn't notice too much hanging on the back of that beast :P

I know a someone who has owned these before (he had 3 in a fleet) you didn't notice any difference towing or braking loaded or anything, his biggest issue was fuel.

Light (well nothing in it) Fuel Economy Terrable
Medium (full of stuff) No Difference
Heavy (full of stuff towing) No Difference
Very Heavy (full of stuff and towing full of stuff) no difference

In America they must not worry about fuel economy, or it could have just been the particular spec he ordered as they were all the same, would be interesting for someone elses opinion.

He loved the big leather captains chair

The US pickup market is an interesting one. People don't buy the vehicles, they buy the engines (in this case Isuzu) and get whatever they come wrapped in.

My diesel work car (nissan 4wd) uses about 6.5 litres/100km (16.5km/l). Think you might have a sick caldina there.

Does the Dmax have a real-time fuel readout?

Nice new truck you've got their Zilla.
Shame to see the 80 go , was a awesome truck.
but a 6.6 Turbo V8 Diesel is a beast of a replacement. (wonder how it would go with LPG injection.

It'd go bang. :(

LPG fumigation is bollocks and very hard on the engine for the power it delivers. Stick to diesel tuning, plenty of examples of hot-rod duramax on the net.
