LN130 transfer question...

Post by jocko »

Evening all...
I've got an LN65 which i've repowered with a 1Kz and R150 from an LN130 with the push button electric 4WD and the little electric motor on the rear of the transfer. My question is how do i power this thing up and make it work? Is it on a timed relay type system similar to a toyota electric locker?

im doing the same thing but with a 1uz, my plan was to leave it 4wd and just put the hubs in an out,
ive heard of others using a 2 way switch to manualy opperate it, youl have to do a bit of trial an error to see what wire does what

if i wer back at work id figure it out for ya, but im not so i cant :(

ill try find some diagrams

Get the 4wd computer from a surf, give it power and plug it in.
I got mine working in about 5 minutes, there pretty simple.

ok yep thanx, that sounds like the logical way. I guess i would need some of the loom as well that runs from the computer down to the gearbox? Its got a five pin plug on it. I know the type of computer you mean, i've seen it up under the dash on my 70# cruiser. 1 of my mates wrecks surfs and i already stole some bits of an LN130 so shouldn't be a problem to get that computer and loom.
With the little motor unplugged 4wd is engaged and i was driving mine around just with the hubs out but the whining from the transfer and front diff spinning at highway speeds is loud and annoying so i pulled the little cover off the side of the actuator and the gear that drives the dog slips out and the dog is spring loaded and it popped out of 4wd so at least i can drive it on the road for now out of 4wd.
