by by wheel on highway!!
hello im new here and new to 4wds. last night my rear wheel came off around a corner. once parked i found the nuts had been shreded off due to me putting on larger wheels. to stop this happening again can i get stronger nuts, from the standard ones i had. or do i have to get longer threds aswell. chers matt
The most likely cause is that the wheel nuts were not tight enough or correctly tightened.
That or if you changed from alloys to steel rims, or the other way round, you had the wrong type of nuts for the wheels.
You need tapered nuts for steel rims.

hear about it happening now and then, especially after a days 4wding. Would pay to check them after you have been playing. Tyre shops are "supposed" to tighten them with a torque wrench if they have had them off.
Basically it was whoever-did-them-ups-last fault or as DB said have you got the correct nuts on there?
