Gen 1 V6 stalling problem

Post by mmmm4444 »

Guys I have a Gen 1 V6 and having a bit of a stalling problem where giving it hard revs on a hill/dune climb. It seems to cuts out/stalls when I take the foot off the pedal when I cant go any further/no traction.

This has already caused me a nice fender bender on a farm when I went to roll back down the hill and no engine power to slow my decent down !!!!

Had my mechanic look at it and he scratched his head.....does anyone have any ideas on what it could be ?

Cheers

I looked at that and came up with the conclusion that if it was sticking would it not be stalling all the time/more often??????

It only stalls on a 30 degrees slope coming off the pedal after giving it maximum revs.............????? I will go and play in some dunes in a couple of weeks and see if there are any other clues

Maybe a loose wire or loose fuel pressure problem. I will look in the sticky valve again and thanks for the advice.

No mechanic but sounds like fuel starvation. My current Pajero has done that to me but due to lack of oil/bad sump design
