Vn- vp engine compatibility q's - need flywheel bolts urgent

Post by gimmemud »

Hi guys, managed to completely stuff my motor and have a sump full of metal filings now.  :(
I'm thinking i will change to a vp motor instead of the vn and possibly run a dry sump.
Questions; will the wiring loom and ecu from the vn be able to be used (have heard differing opinions) :?: , will the alt powersteer pump coilpack and all bolt on's be able to be used or will i have to get vp ones :?:

Picked up a vp motor today but unfortunately it didn't come with flywheel bolts. Managed to get 6 from holden but still need another two. Got some repco high tensile bolts and they sheared off at about 30nm on the torque wrench (just past finger tight). Need some tomorrow, anyone know where to get them on a sunday? All the holden parts places seem to be closed on sunday. Even somewhere that will sell U.N.C 5/16 Grade 10 or 12 bolts as the repco ones were only 8 i'm guessing (still suprised they snapped).
