Latest Layout Of ORE.

Post by SMOKEY »

It is with great reluctance that I even write this, knowing the time and unselfish dedication that Mike puts into his and our ORE, I don't want to be the critical one and it could well be just me having trouble.
I find the current layout to be awkward and clumsy to navigate, the old style with the latest 10/20 posts in my opinion was much easier for my old brain. The current system of opening latest, and then vendors, trips, on Topic, off Topic etc; to me is messy, and when I go back it starts at vendors section again.
Mike is it worth revisiting the layout ????.

AFTER YOU HAVE FINISHED TAUPO REBUILD  ,

Easy as

Fitzy, I have this link saved in my bookmarks for going straight to the index page selection.
Right under the banner on the left side is the selection to view new posts.
When I have read them all i click on the back page button to get back to the said index page, then on the right under the banner, i click on the "mark forums read" button

Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

Yeah sorry about that fitzy, I got 2/3rds of the way through making a latest forum everything page and the server people jumped on me about the site using to many resources. At some later stage I will put the latest posts page back so people like me who like to browse every once in a while can jump straight to the topics active in certain areas of the site. But ill also put all those links that people love on this page so they don't feel lost. But right now I'll leave it how it is and get on with the taupo build.

I hear my surf made it to the front cover of 4x4action this month coming  sure its cause it was parked up the whole weekend and accumlated snow on it but it does show you I dont spend all my time behind the keyboard and do get out 4x4ing some times
