Pretty sure I've had a front disk crack on my GQ.
I've had a damn good look through the wheels but cannot see anything so need to take the dust shield off to access the inner face
Do you guys usually keep them in place or just leave them off? Surely mud and shit gets in behind it anyway at the end of the day?

Take them off and chuck them away, they only get bent and f@cked anyway.

Ditto! The dust shields quite often just keep the mud and shit trapped arund the the wheels discs etc

on any of my old drift cars they were removed and binned too

I agree pull them off I was having problems with stones in the river bed get inside the rim and then can't get out.
