14th Feb Tuesday RedRocks Wellington night trip
Hi All,
Hosehustler is up from CHCH and we are going to head around RedRocks to the lighthouse and further depending on time in the surf.
All welcome as its a shiny run. Let your road tires down to 25psi for a smoother ride as we wont be going slow.
meet time is 7pm at the quarry gate.

We should have taken a photo of you dissappearing into that puddle, I thought you were testing your snorkel. When your left headlight dissappeared and the right back flew in the air I was thinking it was a recovery job, just wasn't sure which way your wheels would be pointing, up down or sideways
What was with the driving in the dark straight over the edge of the 50 degree bank. I thought you had lost the plot!

Was a nice little 3 hour trip guys. Hade a bit of fun. Especially the 2m deep puddle
That bank wasnt THAT steep. The darkness just added to the fun of it. Tims famous last words (Sure you want to drive down there) Luckily I could see the bank and he couldnt so it was a must.
Its really good having marshals that know what they are doing....everyone should do a marshalling course if they get the chance
Thanks bubba for coming along. Quite imppressed how your vehicle went over the sand. It seemed mine struggled in places and even with lokkers and yours just putted over the same place

Two head lights dissappearing over a cliff in the pitch black off night, not great photo's but Mike's truck pretending to be U571 (Dive, Dive, Dive) would have been great. I had my camera phone too, too busy laughing. Then again Mike had it in reverse so fast I had little time

What's this pretending to be U-571
I'll be up there in Wellywood for a week come the 27th feb, so expect the same standard hospitallity as my bro did, so I can judge this U-571 impersionation for myself. You bastards were having fun, damn, shit, bugger,
So, we on or what.

That wasn't marshaling, that was some dumbass to chicken to try it himself (well not with the Mrs there anyway). It looked deep so I thought I would let you go first. There's a lesson to be learnt there

As for my truck, gee thanks, shuks. More to do with local knowledge than anything else. I have done that track more than a few times now so know most of the tricky spots, most not all. But all in all, it's not bad, considering that it's a entry level 4x4, does the wife/school run five days a week and I get to have a bit of a play when not used for other things.
The good news is that the Mrs saw a fj40 in the mechanic's the other day and fell in love with it. Now she wants one, next on the list, after we move to Blenheim, new house, fj40 (or simular) in that order.
