air compressor

Post by tweake »

what budget 12v air compressor do you recommend ?

can't afford the flash ARB ones so looking at something a bit cheaper. its only to be used for the very occasional tire inflation (stock 31's) on the work ute. however when i need it, it must work and not have to sit round 1/2 hour waiting it to cool down so i can pump up the last tire !

also tire gauge and deflater. saw the EZ tire deflater but would that be overkill for the minimal use?

i use a typhoon twin piston 150 psi i unit bought from 4wd bits and can recomend it as a very good compressor. I air down (with staun defalators) my Maxxis Mudillas 31 x 11.5 x 15's too 18 psi for club trips, and this unit reinfates these to 30 psi in 10 t0 15 minutes. Another club member uses a very small compressor and can only inflate 1 tyre in the time it takes to do all 4 of mine its not a cheap unit but money well spent.Chees Tony 8)
