mig welding liner

Post by new2zukes »

hi i have just bought a cebora 175 mig welder welds great, alot better than my chinese one. the only problem is the liner is a little stuffed as the wire doesnt come threw nicely unless the lead is straightish. does anyone know where i can get a new liner from? it is ok for now as it still welds ok just lead needs to be straight. hope someone can help thanks.

majority of welding shops will have a new hose. take your old hose in before you buy thou as there is a couple of differant thread sizes. caution about getting a hose that is a lot longer than the original as same of the wire feed motors will not be able to push the wire thou it well and your welding will suffer accordingly

You should be able to get a new teflon liner from any welding supply shop.
If all else fails just go into a BOC and they should be able to sort you out.

Did you get sorted yet, Unimig in Glenfield are great to deal with, work on a cash basis too. The teflon if I read the above correct is for alloy, sound like you simply need a standard liner. Cost are about $12-$15, I change ours every second roll of 15kg on a 4m lead.

No worries, the mig you have is a good unit when looked after, from memory they don't have the euro torch but if your not doing heavy welding they are OK. Have a look on Trademe, seen a couple of guys selling the conversion torch kits for them (well worth the effort to swap them over).
