410 transfer case into 413
410 transfer case into 413
Hi, I have a transfer case out of a flatdeck 410 truck, an when I went to put it in my 413 I found the bolts didn,t line up from the flangers to the drive shafts. Can I just redrill these? I tryed to change flangers over but the shafts are different sizers. I been told that 410 transfer c, is the lowest you can get without mods. How much lower than mine will that be? My 413 is registered, has 1600 motor an runs 31 in tyres, Any help much appreciatered. thanks
Re: 410 transfer case into 413
you need to mix and match with a 410 and 413 uni joint.
Run the 410 flange on the Transfer with 2 410 uni bearings to match, and a 413 flange on the drive shaft with 2, 413 uni bearings.
410 uni bearing cup has the circlip on the inside.
413 has the circlip on the outside.
Most 410 transfers are a 12% reduction in high range , can't remember what low is. Their are a few differnt models.
does your one have the 4wd light switch?
