well finally getting Arse into gear and getting the blizzy sorted for WOF. Being a toymota it has the usual fun rear drums that really only like working if you stay on sealed roads that are dry and free from any hint of dirt....lol
pulled the brake drum outer off the drivers side to check and give it a clean and now as usual I'm stumped......lol

measured the thickness of the brake surface on the shoes and there's about 5mm of brake surface (don't know the correct technical name) is this enough or should the shoes be replaced. and how the hell do i adjust them i know theres a slot in the back to do this but what 's the best tool to use and how do i tell if their adjusted properly???
cheers steve

There should be a small cog thingy in the hole, moving it will adjust it either way (if the disc rotor thingy is off a wee bit of lubrication on the mechanism helps), put the disc rotor on and adjust it with a screw driver. this should also adjust your handbrake as well....
otherwise get some beer ready and give Reece a call

if they anything like the rugger diff witch i think they should b they should self adjust. if you got them apart clean up the wee hreaded bit and put all back together then pull hand break on and off lots of times and they should come right.
