FJ70 alternator recon?

So I am trying to do some cheapo short to mid term repairs on my Cruiser while I am out of work and I seem to be in need of some alternator repairs. So the question is are there any alternators that share parts with a FJ70 one? Or are just completely compatable as is?

New brushes and bearings wont set you back much.... that's likely to be all you need.

and you will need to do some soldering if you replace the brushes
