Beer and BBQ..... Help Needed

Now I have your attention, I'm in need of some help getting the "FUG" ready for the "Kiwi 4x4 Comp"

I have new Suspension bushes that need fitting and an engine swap to do... the old donk has sprung a leak between the engine and gearbox so needs to come out, I have a decent replacement at the ready....

Time and date to follow, but payment for helpers will be copious ammounts of BEER, MEAT, and bread and maybe some salad for the health factor

I'll be picking up the new motor this Sunday so hoping to do the working bee next weekend if that suits everyone :wink:

one thing.... does anyone have an engine hoist I could please borrow this sunday?? :oops:

i have a chain block im not using. but no use if you dont have anything to hang it from.

thought you wern't competing as your helping? does this mean your looking for a team? i know of a team that has one rover in it and another rover lover :mrgreen:

Cheers for the offer.. but its the hoist i need. unless someone has a frame i can connect a chain block to??... is there anywhere i can hire one from????

as for the team, yep.. competing already have a full team sorry

i've got a super cheap engine hoist you can borrow but you'll need to pick it up from porirua.

I used hirepool in town to take old motor out. and in the hutt to put new motor in. $37 for 24 hrs so theres another option

Right, now you have the motor and stuff that is needed to do the swap, what day and what time are we coming to your place?

Also what tools do we need to bring?

Rightyo...

Motors here, the only difference i can see is its a Xflow motor so carb is on the other side...

Did a bit of work prepping old motor to come out. all thats left to do is pull starter off, bellhousing bolts and powersteering pump
ands she should be just about ready...

I'm thinking Staurday (as long as its not raining) :roll:

say 10am?? if that suits you guys...as for tools.. bring everything :wink:

Yep Mickeys hoist is still here...

There is one slight problem, Just found out I have to go back into work for a few hours Sat Afternoon.from about 1.30pm... Can i trust you lot not to drink all the pi$$ and burn my place down with the BBQ while i'm out :lol:

Can change it to Sunday if that suits people better???

We can't promise anything but I bet when you get back you better bring some more food cos it will all be gone!
