Spare wheel choices

Post by ClassicCruiserSpares »

Hi there, im keen to find out what people use as spare wheels becuase the thing is ive got 36x11.5x16 simex extreme tyres and was wanting a spare but if i buy another simex being a directional tyre it would only suit one side of the vehicle.
So i was woundering is there any other brand of non directional tyres made in 36s? or maybe a worn 37" goodyear wrangler could be the same rolling radius as the 36" simex?
Any thoughts would be very helpfull.
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

I carry a spare tube, a few tubeless valves, a punture repair kit and an old 33" spacesaver so I've got a few choices depending on the situation, rims are mech beadlocked so if you decide to spend an hour pulling the tyre off you can do a punture in the scrub or back at the hut that night
