Hi new here and seeking help!

Post by mc68 »

Hi all, have purchased a 1987 Navara single cab D21 petrol, but the radiator support panel is rotten at the bottom, and its heading that way around the headlights etc. I knew it was rusty there, but I bought it anyway as its just clicked over 100kms and has a huge alloy tray...anyway a new rad support panel is $560 ex Japan, secondhand ones are pretty rare. Have been told the Terrano one is the same...can anyone confirm or deny? If so can get a mint Terrano one for $80, and happy to spot weld it in myself with an engineer to inspect it...any input, knowledge or advice greatly appreciated...cheers, Mal.

The differance between terrano and navara bodys is the terrano body sits over the chassis and the navara sits on the chassis. I'm not sure if its all body differances or chassis mounts aswell. May have an effect on radiator panel. Just my 2c
If you break it... build it stronger.

Hi, yep Terrano is different, finally found a rust free one in Hamilton..navaras are bad for rusting this panel out apparently, thanks for the input.
