D21 terrano GB/TGB oils?

Hi guys my dad is changing his terrano's oils and is wanting to know what oil to use.
I thought both gearbox and transfer box should be using the same spec oil. But the wksp he gets his oil from said the transfer boxs uses something different.
would be good to see if you guys are using the same oil in both

from memory gear box and transfer were the same but i had lsd in the back

What year, engine and trans type does it have?
I'll check on our castrol software at work tomorrow.

2.7t manual box and think around a 95. thanks for that.

No worries, this is what castrol says to use

Manual trans: Castrol VMX - 4L
4wd transfer: Castrol TQ-DIII - 2.2L

It looks like the transfer box must have changed with the 92 model because pre 92 takes VMX in the transfer box too.
