Wellington Jeep Club is holding a 3 day event over Labour Weekend 2010. It's open to all Jeep 4wd vehicles and runs of all grades will be put on.
The Wellington area offers some of the best Jeep’n in the North Island, ranging from bush creeks to big mountain streams through to muddy bush-lined historic logging tracks. Not only is the off-road driving great, but the scenery is amazing and unique and sometimes windy!
The Wellington Jeep Jamboree gives you the opportunity to drive tracks that suit both your driving experience and your Jeep's capabilities - to this end, we have three grades of tracks and on each day of the jamboree, we will be offering a variety of full day trips in each grade to choose from. Sign-up sheets with full information on each trip will be available for sign-up from 2:00PM on the Friday at the “Wellington Jeep Jamboree” HQ.
Every Jeep/driver must have the following:
- All drivers to have current driver's license
- Current Registration and Warrant of Fitness
- Fire extinguisher mounted in a readily accessible place within the Jeep
- First aid kit
- A spare tyre the same size diameter as your tyres, e.g: if you have 33" tyres, then your spare must also be 33"
