Post by travis »

Hi Im looking at converting the 2lte engine that i currently have into the 1kzte does anybody know if this is possible also if it has been done what would be involved i was thinking of changing the heads but dont know anything about these engines but dont have the mony to drop in the lexus v8 that i would like to so was going to make do with what i had but try and rebuild it in to the big brother engine that is so well known.

Completely different engines, so no you can't bastardise either.

Either buy a 1kzte, a new head for your 2lte, or, seeing as you were looking at the 1UZ, put a 3VZ-E into it, which should be largely a bolt in job as its a factory fitted engine in some models.

Hey,

Have a look around the Aussie Surf Forum (try the engine conversion section) and see what you can find
