twin carb to EFI
twin carb to EFI
how easy is it to swap over a twin SU set up to an EFI. can get hold of manifold/ injectors + ECU in one lot..
Re: twin carb to EFI
Not too difficult as long as you get everything with manifold etc including the wiring loom and ECU.
Also need a fuel pump to suit as the EFI vehicles had a different fuel tank with the pump inside the tank.
The fuel lines from the EFI vehicle might help as well.

Re: twin carb to EFI
The fuel pump is definately different. Higher pressure for EFI. The tank is not necessarily different though. Most carby models also had submersible pump which fits in same hole as EFI pump. Side by side they look very similar. Mounting bracket and pipe connections etc are identical but the actual EFI pump is about 15-20mm taller than carby one.
An EFI pump will flood carbs and carby pump will not pump high enough pressure for EFI.
Early models had a chassis mounted pump which I have no experience with.
