link arm or bracket mount to Diff?
depending on where the break is the sway bar could bind up and jam with road use.
just pull the whole swaybar out untill you can replace the parts required, i havent had one in the rear of my Surf for years know

Re: BROKEN REAR SWAY BAR BRACKET. IS IT A PROBLEM?
if its just the small bracket with the rubber bush that holds the sway bar to the diff then its no big deal. I had to change them each wof (about 15 dollars each, 2 min job) and then first time off road after the wof i'd break them again. If the sway bar is on your truck it must function and have the brackets to be legal, if your not worried you can take it right off.
If it is the bracket i'm talking about it's not going to cause any problems on or off road, I alays broke mine straight afte rthe wof and drove on and off road alot and never had any issues. Just kept having to put new ones on for wof's or i would of never bothered.
Or just spend 15 dollars and chuck a new bracket on.
A pic may help if it's not the bracket im talking about.

hey it will be the bracket ur talking about. i put a stainless hose clips to hold the bush in place and stop the sway bar from moving forward. i'll add a photo. also i done it up pretty tight so it cant move left to right like it was able to before hand is this ok?

sounds like the one, just don't forget that the purpose of that bar, clamp and rubber bush is to get rid of the flex which is the exact opposite of what you want for off road driving.
If you make that clamp too strong you will possibly reduce the flex of your rear suspension but more likley (due to it only being a 10mm bolt and small clamp) just break it somewhere else or snap it off from the other end.
You can always replace the clamps and just unbolt one clamp when going off road so it doesnt break.
There is a whole thread on here about removing your sway bar and the pro's and con's of doing so, worth a read if your considering mods or removing it completley.

I've fitted Old man Emu suspension to my Surf and threw the roll bars in the bin......
