Tie Rods, And general Wear

Hey again guys,

just a young mind that is wanting to learn a bit more information,

I recently put 33's on my terrano, not currently on it due to one being punctured from a broken tie rod, dam not having a spare,

but i was just wondering a few things,

what is the importance of having idler arm braces?

how can i reduce the wear on my cv boots/ tie rod end boots in the front end of my truck? or is it a case of having to drop it back down to standard height?

also, does anyone know about the new rule about flares? because i was talking to a guy at caltex and they said that it will not pass a warrant on the flares, and that i will need to get factory flares for it.

any information would be very handy
