Anyone know this 60?

Post by sprey »

Hey all, Just wondering does anybody know this truck, Once ive sold my car was thinking about popping up to have a look. Unless i find another 60 series more local.

Ive noticed most of the 60 series here are the 2h diesel motor or 12ht not a 3b. guessing a 3b in one of them would be pretty slow especialy with 33s on it?

thanks :D

I personally think that's pretty overpriced, lots of solid looking 60s seem to be going for 2-3k or even less. I have a 60 with a 3B on 33s, it's no speed machine but it's not too bad round town. Open road it's not super keen to go above 80 but will do 100 if you push it, was on 31s when I got it and the 33s haven't really made that much difference. From what I've heard the 2H doesn't really differ that much, similar power and torque figures I think.

I've got a turbo on a 13b-t manifold which should help alot, when I get round to fitting it.

Thanks Mongoose, i thought soo tooo!! especialy the fact that the seller doesnt even seem to have a record of whats even been done to the vehicle or by from a previous question i asked on the auction much of an idea at all!.

Hmm i plan to do alot of driving so something that isnt overly keen to do a 100 possibly might not be an option for me, i guess its all down to the test driving,

still having thoughts about going to the darkside ( Nissan Safari :O ) but not quite sure yet.

Thanks for the info :D.

If you have a lot of road miles to do, and need that size rig, then I suggest you get an 80s cruiser, or at least try a few. I had a 60 s with a 2h and it was just a giant pig. They are supposed to go alright with 12ht engine however, but I have never driven one.

Thanks guys for all the info really appreciate it, To be honest when i narrow it down i dont need that size rig, really was just more curious i guess its down to ive always liked the look of the old 60s

Been on trademe all this arvo when i really think about it a swb bighorn would do what i need very well or even a hilux or simular.
As the vehicle would will be my daily driver.

I think time to test drive a few vehicles and go from there.
