This has probably been covered before but the search function on here doesen't seem to provide any answers.
Currently running a 4inch lift on my truck and wondering if 35's will fit without trimming the gaurds? Looks like they would rub at the rear of the front gaurds, as there does not seem to be too much clearance around that area??

Jono, if you can survive the trip out to South Auckland without getting stabbed you can trial fit my 35s off the Cruiser?
They're on 10" rims though but you can considering them the 'extreme' side of fitment...

Re: 35's on shorty saf
Depending on offset they will try catch at the rear of the front guards and front of the rear arches i think.
min offset 8in rims keep em inside the guards we found but my 10in big offset rubber everywhere.

You will have to space the front axle forward or they will rub. I even did a rear guard chop to give more clearance.
rain, hail, sleet or snow, we go!
Re: 35's on shorty saf
I had to also cut the inner rear gaurds. Worth cutting than going higher

GU patrol 35s ect.

Or even better scribe a line from the top of the guard (front) to 30-40mm in from the mudflap edge....cut it with a grinder and fold remainder with wide blade vice grips, i'm no panel beater but i did mine fine.
Re: 35's on shorty saf
Another thing to be wary of is the seam that runs horizontal just above the chassis in the rear inner guard. The rear tyres (35x11.5 Simex) peeled this seam out and it stuffed 2 brand new tyres on my old truck! About 4 weeks later I put a 9" angle grinder throught he back of the cab I was so pissed off! (well maybe that was an excuse to single cab it!)

Re: 35's on shorty saf
50mm Spring lift and 40mm body lift and some 25mm bump stop spacers in the rear cleared 35" Maxis creepy's
The guards had to be massaged to fit the Simex Centiped 35" triple blocks as they measure over 36" and the big side lugs were catching all over the place.
If ya just going to run some muddies like Kuhmo KL71's, or Wrangler MTR's or Maxixis Bighorns then your 4" is HEAPS

Re: 35's on shorty saf
fitted a set of kl71 35's on saturday. havnt flexed it up yet so dont kmow how bad itll rub (if at all). definately changed the handling on road going from a 32" to a 35" tyre.
Re: 35's on shorty saf
I've got a sagged 4 inch lift (like 2 inch really) and 2 inch body lift with 35 silverstone m117's and they fit fine. Front is close on turning circle like about 10 - 15mm on back edge of front guard and they are a small 35 like 34 to 34.5 in reality. Rate the tire though on the SWB saf's. Seem to hang on really well in mud/dirt stuff and made big improvement over my wranglers.
