We already have and use an escudo, fairly standard, but as the years of offroad havn't been kind, is now bound to a trailer.
What can I say, picked up a nearly free (Zuk G16A 16v inj auto) yesterday, just purchased off trademe. (running gear complete, seized engine so the listing said).
Its a long drive from Christchurch to Clinton and back in a day, but worth it.
This vehicle (bar the obvious) is pretty much complete, in terms of running gear. Even still has the keys. The only things we have picked up on are no plugs, distributor, alternator, front hubs, and someone has had a good go at pulling the interior apart. (already stripped, good start for cage)

The oils in both the engine and auto gearbox look good.
The guy I got it off said he got it from a wrecker, as it had a pretty sweet set up for a hard lid on a soft top, and put that on his, so doesn't know the history. He had a go at trying to get it going a while back apparently, put a battery in, nope don't turn over, its seized, thats it, he said.
Once home we were able to more closely inspect our prize. He had taken the headers off as was considering keeping them, but threw them in for us as well.
At the exhaust exit from the head, there is a lot of gunk (oil? been sitting for about 4 years) built up from cylinder 3, and a small amount coming from 4. Have an inkling it could be a buggered cylinder ring.
Any other ideas? as we have only just given it a quick eyeball over.
If so how long was it driven for, and has it gouged the block.
First thing, get it running!!!

May be easier, cheaper to find a second hand short block, and put that in.
