FJ cruiser top to bottom offroad

Post by Jungle »

What a mission that would be? Not to mention it taking a bloody long time.

Check out the link.

Hmmmm, independent front end. I wonder who they are going to market these towards? I wanna test drive one!

Anybody had a play with one of these yet?

Aaaah.. Stink.

One step behind. So no one keen on them?
I'd still have the cab chassis with the V8 i reckon.

Marc Ellis actually gave it a real work out on the TV this morning. Water onto the windscreen sort of stuff. Does it have lockers?

I reckon it would have traction control, seems to be the way thing are going these days
Saw it too. I would be surprised if they don't break something, but with full factory backing, I doubt we will hear about it :?
I got my eye on the fully restored 40

We'll see.

Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

I see they are asking for help. They sure will need some if they want access to the land they require for a full offroad adventure of NZ.

Would be a great excuse to put a few cruiser days together around the country.

I went through the Toyota History and they have left off the best cruiser ever made. (Jungle) 1986 HJ61 VX with 12HT diesel.
Front and rear lockers with PTO winch.

I think the history is only what was assembled in NZ. Maybe the HJ61 was never assembled here.

Oh well. I don't like the look of the new FJ much. Might just be another H3. :(

I don't get it? This FJ cruiser thing is now on Facebook.
Everytime I make a comment it get's censored. I suggested to Marc that he needed a cargo barrier so his machete didn't scone him in the back of his head. I also suggested some chaps so he doesn't cut his leg off with the chainsaw and get blood all over his pretty yellow truck.

Yet Wopass suggested some gloves and it goes straight through.

I think i've been black listed.

Fair enough.

I've got HJ's and BJ's. And they are probably all jap imports too.

They're not coming to Vegas anyway. The 4wheeling must be too tough. :D :D :D

hmmm

On behalf of Toyota New Zealand we wish to advise that the FJ Cruiser Top to Bottom journey has been indefinitely postponed out of respect for the New Zealanders that have lost their lives, been injured or affected by the Christchurch earthquake this afternoon.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
