Factory is 15x7 JJ 8
You have to be careful what you get... rims from a solid axle hilux wont fit...will rub on caliper.
Id go for 7 inch rim rather than 8 as the beads will hold on better when you run low pressure.
I was running ROH 8JJx15 Trak (thats whats stamped on them) but have gone back to the factory alloys...they are lighter & actually stronger & also cheaper to buy that steel wheels.
You can actually get factory alloy on 15x7 JJ 20 but are very rare & apparently they will fit ...but not found any to try on my hilux yet.

Factory alloys for a kzn-130 are 15x7 0 offset. They make your wheels sit inside the factory flares which then take a hiding off road.
Alloy rims are virtually un-repairable when damaged by rocks etc

I run 15x8 -19 very soon to be 15x8 -44
-19will sit the Tyre level with the factory flare
I run tractor tubes and have had the valves relocated to piont vertical .
Regularly drop pressures to 12-15psi and the mian issue i have with beads is the gradual ingress of mud .

Nearly every tyre Ive seen popped Off the bead was from driver error or mud/ crap buildup in the bead over time , causing the tyre not to seat properly.
Tube allow you to pump up the tyre agian and reseat the bead enough to get home if you catch it early enough.

Yo,

I can confirm the 15x7 -20 will work, i have OE 78 series alloys on my KZN130W, all underneath factory wide-body and same style as OE +8 (and 80 series +10 for that matter).

Only differences are silver paint rather than diamond machine finish, and the offset increase of 28mm makes the steering noticably heavier at the wheel. I use 265/75R15 (31x10.5 equiv) with no interference issues so far at standard ride height.

Also the 78 and 80 series alloys use a tapered seat nut rather than the 130's drop-shank, very important to use right nuts if you go that way or you wont have correct contact area for torquing them up and staying put.

Mine were $350 thru local ARB/Wrecker here in Whangarei.

Cheers, Adam

If you want 40's you'll need to get the centres flipped. You'll need to allow for $600 + a re paint.

Why would you need the centers flipped?

Cant see the CV & axles lasting very long if your using 40" tyres on a surf..... 33 is about the biggest you can go with out them breaking all the time ( on standard CV)

we're talking rim offset here, not tyre size dude. haha. dont have any plans for 40" inch tyres anytime soon.

Ive got the same setup. They sit more flush with the 11.5s than it did on surf rims with 10.5s.

Ive put -44s on mine looks mean. now the warrant guy failed me for increasing my overall track size by too much!!! is this an actual thing? i thought the tread block of the tyre just had to be inside the flares? anyone else had issues with this?

I was curious about this, Apparently it is a 'thing' and is in the virm(wof manual) this is the lvvta exclusions part of tyres, quote as below.

Basically what it says is you can have wider tyres without requiring a cert providing that they are covered by mud guards or body panels and the over all the wheel track is not wider than 25mm from OE(stock).

"protrudes beyond the unmodified original body panels, but is covered by aftermarket or modified mudguard extensions or modified body panels, and the track width has increased by no more than 25mm from OE."

See the table 10-1-1 for it

ive come across this before with my 2wd ute, a old cert guy i knew said its because of the wider track u create it puts far more strain on all your suspension and steering components casing premature failure. thats all i could remember of what he said.he spoke quite fast.

Great idea if you want beads to come off at low pressures when used off road, but hey looks are far more important that functionality... :D

Oh cool so you drive in sand, all offroad driving conditions are exactly the same I spose  If you're driving in muddy ruts bouncing around it's not hard to knock a bead off. Here are some threads with opinions on rim width.

10's are sweet for townies they look cool on just about any truck 8) but a waste of time without beadlocks in the real offroad world unless you want to go around digging holes at road pressure all day :D
