Hi i have a 93 3.2 dohc bighorn leaking alot of oil from out of the heads i think? Hard to see but dose that sound right im new to them just brougt it for 1800. Has anyone done this fix themselvs looks like a garage job to me Also any idea of howmuch it will cost? Thanks Ray
Are you sure its the head / block join? More likely if it is running OK would be rocker cover, that dead easy and to be honest for a few bucks of gaskets or sealer I would be looking at that first.
Could also be a leaking sump breather / rocker cover breather.
If you have to ask what a rocker cover is you prob need someone to show/help you but its really basic.
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed
Mine does something similar doesn't leak enough to actually make it to the gound though more like excess seapage and mine is from the rocker cover. I have never bothered to fix it as its not a major problem yet.
If its that shes a pretty easy fix like they said above just pull them off and use some silicone sealer (High Temp) and put them back on. You may find they ar loose already (someone not finish a job properly) and need a tighten up.
Yep hada nother look and it looks like the rockercover, there is a lot of oil on the ground after a drive but dosnt leak when just sitting round. Will take the cover off once it stops raining, I have got some red gasket maker but mite be easer to just buy one. thanks for the advice will let you nkow how it goes. Im located in timaru
