Howdy from Rock n Roll Central

Post by odonata »

Hello I'm a newbie located in Rangiora. Just bought a 2006 Hilux SR5 and keen to get out into the high country for a bit of R & R the scenery and natural history, not blood sweat and tears end of 4WD.
Worked in forest industry for a few years so am not entirely green to 4WDing but am keen to keep learning especially recovery methods. Am planning on joining the local club once I have fitted recovery gear that way I won't be a liability on trips. However, am interested in meeting up with like minded people, to join trips suitable for families, camping trips would be great.
Have already posted a couple of messages on the forum and am really encouraged at the level of assistance and info provided by members. Am glad that there is such a great site for 4WDs.

Regards
Clive

Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.
