Surf balljoint replacement help

When replacing Surf ln130 top balljoint is it necessary/easiest or safest to release the torsion rod tension, and do you do this with weight on or off the wheel :?:

Place a jack under the lower wishbone and jack the wheel off the ground, (compressing the suspension) then put a solid wooden block or similar between the upper wishbone and bumpstop to stop the wishbone coming back down once you lower the jack.
Before lowering the jack place an axle stand under the chassis to hold it up and allow the wheel to drop.
Remove wheel, and remove the brake caliper from the hub/rotor, leaving caliper attached to the brake hose and tie/hang out of the way.
Remove the shock absorber also as it prevents the lower wishbone moving down enough to get the balljoint out.
Then undo the castle nut on balljoint and (hopefully)the lower wishbone and the hub will drop off the tapered bolt on the balljoint. Probably wont just drop off but a few taps with a solid hammer should loosen it.
Then just a case of undoing the four nuts on top of the balljoint, and replacing with new. make sure you fit the grease nipple and pump the balljoint full of grease.

Clear as mud?

They remove the entire hub and CV as they are replacing the cv also, but this isn't necessary just to replace the balljoint

Great thanks I have done before but not like this I knew there'd be an easier way.
