After would be nicer as there are a few trips that people are going on... will check dates for Rallywoods and post up....
Looks like it's book until 23 July or 30 July.... so any time after then would be gooder...
Re: Akas trip
I vote for after taihape, thatll give me time to get essentials like cert, winch rope/winch working, cooling issues an testing sorted

Didn't barbie drive a jeep??
Re: Akas trip
Yeah after taihape would be better. Should book next available weekend. Anyone interested in doing something a little more adventurous than a gravel road???

Open to suggestions but along the lines of deep sticky mud holes, long greasy rutted out overgrown goat tracks, steep slippery rock faces......that sort of thing

Re: Akas trip
what about the rock garden and sending a few up the staircase?

Re: Akas trip
if we get enough people like last years epic 30 odd truck trip
we could split into 3 groups and do shiny with skid, where you will get muddy, bush scratched and possibly stuck
then a harder trip, but not too hard like the ruts etc
and an insane idiot trip where you will be winching through bogs up hills and emptying your supply of paslode nails into your sheer pin location
