The first 20 seconds of that clip was showing only an 1/8th of that hazard. (can't remember the number) Not sure if some drove all of it. But there was one rock face we had to winch up to complete it.
The rest of the video clip was of hazard 8. Hazards 8 and 9 were side by side. At the start of the comp we all kicked off in pairs from there. But in the morning the surface was slippery. Most had to winch up that face I drove up.
Mike, there was PLENTY of winching involved with this event mate. The only reason I haven't shown any (so far) is that it's boring to watch (in my opinion) and some camera angles don't show how steep things really are.
I've got plenty more winch challenge video, some from my GoPro camera. It's just a matter of me editing it and throwing it up.
At home I don't have a landline anymore. So for the Net I use a small portable WiFi unit that uses a pre paid simcard for when I'm up at the caravan in Nelson. But the down side is, it's slow and data rates are costly.
