Anyone Know Regulations on cutting hole in bonnet
Anyone Know Regulations on cutting hole in bonnet
just wanting to know regulations on cutting a hole in my bonnet to fit a new carb. doesn't have enough room in to clear the bonnet
Re: Anyone Know Regulations on cutting hole in bonnet
I cut a hole to add the intercooler scoop.
WOF man didnt care.
As long as the bonnet is secure, and there are no sharpe protusions and it doesnt effect driver vision.
Not sure if there is anything else.
If in doubt drop in to LTSA WOF place and ask.

Put a bulge/scoop on, and make it part of the structure (ie weld it on)?

Sorry for the bad pic, but the plastic scoop I put on is from Supercheap and only stung me $20, I thought it was damn cheap and looks OK
Plus it helps keep the old girl coolies
My mate who is a Mech says it's fine and he has even done it to his.
