swb rear drive shaft
has anyone else got excessive play in the splines of the rear drive shaft have two now with the same slop, Instead of getting them rebuilt may asked for a heavier duty truck spline installed instead
89 safari, pto winch, 33x15 simexs. sliders,75mm lift . turbo intercoolered

have you pumped the splines full of grease that will normally sort out any free play

yes but thats sort term fix, it really needs heavier duty splines, ie heavy truck

what about a cruiser drive shaft they dont seem to have any problems
they are as heavy as a saf'' so they must be using better grade steel or some thing along those lines
