Toyota hub nut socket

righto, went to do my wheel bearings today and went looking for the 54mm socket to do the job once I had it apart

super chump and ripco looked at me funny, toyota had a blank stare as well

so where the faaark do you guys buy these from :?: :?: :?:
80 Series on 35" creepies, manual with twin factory lockers.

Jafa used to do them at SNR not sure if he still is
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

I got mine from my local tool shop, Waitemata Hydraulics from memory, (Westie)
I have seen pressed steel ones. Might have been for doing the heater elements for hot water cylinders.

I always found a brass drift was adequate.....got a 54mm socket from Jafa a few years back tho was superb :mrgreen:
lent it to someone...Dad i think, but can't remember :x ....back to the brass drift now :(

You can get that sorta thing off sulco. Mate just got a 58mm i think, off them. Maybe even tradezone can source you one.

The SNR ones are good as they are made to suit a 3/8 rathet...if you buy a normal socket it will be 3/4 & almost nobody has that size ratchet or bar.

i got mine, which takes a 1/2", off trade me a couple of years back from a trader of 40 and rover parts in dunnos... sorry but cant remember his username..

Thats BJ Autos in dunedin or BJ305 is his trademe name.
