EGR Delete and other things

Hi there guys,
my name is Josh. I have a 1991 Nissan Terrano TD27T.
I havent introduced myself yet, but i plan to soon. pics to come...
I'm just in the middle of something, and hope to get some help.
first of all i'm in the process of cleaning my intake manifold and i'm going to delete the EGR also. my problem right now is removing my intake manifold. i cant access all the bolts behind the fuel injector tube assembly, and i cant seem to figure out how to remove the injector tube assembly.
any help here would be very appreciated. is it possible to remove the intake manifold without removing the fuel injector tube assembly? if not, how do i remove the fuel injector tube assembly?
And, my next problem is this:
today i went to pull the little gauze filter from my fuel injection pump to give it a clean, and i realized i dont have one. and i dont have the spring that goes with the banjo bolt either. how bad is it to drive without this filter? part of me almost thinks i dropped it, but i looked everywhere and the spring wasnt there either. so now i'd like to replace this filter, but i'm having difficulties finding the part number. if anyone knows what it is, i'd appreciate it.
I have a schematic of the fuel injector pump if anyone wants to look at it. i cant seem to see the banjo bolt, spring and gauze filter i'm looking for.
