BJ74 Cramped seat

Post by mbw »

Hi

My left knee digs into the dash with seat all the way back, which is annoying on long trips, so was wondering if anyone has moved the seat back - and if so, can you send me a picture of how you did it?

Cheers

I'm 6ft tall and have no problem in mine (BJ73) which is the same. Unless you have the suspension seats?

Are you sure it is all the way back? My driver seat rail gets stuck sometimes.

what sort of seats are in there coz mine go right back, theres not exactually a lot of room in the cab but my knees have never come close to hitting the dash.... although my glovebox lid on the passenger side may say a different story?

I presume the seats are just standard factory non suspension seats.

I am 6'5, which doesn't help.

I'm 99% sure that it's all the way back, not stuck.

My knee catches on the corner of the dash where the rear wiper switch is.

I'll measure the distance from seat to dash (with seat all the way back) tonight.

take the front seat out and sit in the back seat, sounds like you'd still reach

OK so in my BJ73 with the seat all the way back measuring from the heater control panel that you're hitting your knee on:
70cm from Backrest.
25cm from front edge of seat
10cm of room from my knee (your average 6ft left leg)
