Rear cross member captive nuts

Post by gary_in_nz »

So ummm, I managed to break one of the captive nuts off from inside the rear cross member on my Safari. Any simple ways of getting it tacked back on or do I have a big date with a grinder and mig?

are you able to get a bolt into the nut if so then die grind or drill a slot on either side of where the nut went and with bolt firmly into nut pull down back into its original location and spot weld through the two new holes on either side
