Hi Dan if you guys are running a winch challenge then do you think it would be best to postpone the event we were going to run to avoid the clash .Not much point having two events in the same month .But in saying that we are aiming at the basic club truck not full on winch challenge trucks ,Might have to give it some thought and see what feedback there is .

Hey Steve

Saw your post and we were never looking at easter. Two events in a month is a lot but like you say aimed at a slightly different audience. From what I seen on the replys to your thread, ther aren't to many W/C compeditors putting their hands up, and even if they were, so long as they are nice to their trucks they could do both. I'm seriously considering it, just have to put a case to the minister of finance and all things fun

The good thing about having a couple of events close together is that the guys who have to travel a bit further than most can link both events up with a holiday between them :D

Progress is happening slowly but looking at getting into a new part of the site in 2 weeks to plan most of the tracks.

Once we have checked them I will get an entry form online.

Gotta remember we operate on Northland time not super organised Auckland time.

Plan is as above and that wont change. teams can be any combo of Club, Challenge or Modified classes as described in 4x4 challenges rules. Standard Class wont be catered for.

Its owwwwnnnn.

Forecast is for rain tonight and early tomorrow then pretty good for race day. Rain will change the tracks that had dried out and gotten easier, back to being how they were planned.

Its gonna be long and late, with the distinct po ssiblity of a coeys revenge for the last stage, best you be nice to your coeys, they will have full control. :?

Headn to the race site shortly, for a few quiets and allowing the morning for all those last little things. see you racers tomorrow.

We came 4th out of 6 teams. We only completed 4 stages with the big mud hole stage 2 being our last stage, which killed both trucks.

Nothing died, both trucks lost battery power from big long winchs.

Na my alternator is not right  , new (secondhand) for the event. Not sure I can blame the swamp for the control arm bracket though, think that is a long term fatigue thing. Will get meore steel when its fixed.
