td27t gearbox

ok so my gearbox is about to crap out in my td27 terrano. does anyone know of a stronger gearbox that i could put in. or any way i can make mine more heavy duty?
any help will be great. cheers

just buy a safari or isuzu.

dont tow in 5th gear and put in a heavy duty bearing kit. or buy another truck. this will always be a problem for td27s

Get it rebuilt now, before it goes bang. Much easier and cheaper to do...
Get a decent bearing kit (not a cheapie) and it'l be strong as.
I tow heavy loads in 5th, and give mine heaps and its great.
Just be reasonable, dont clutch dump, or load it up heaps in 5th etc

also the filler bung is in the wrong place,its a factory fault it sits too low thats why they wear bearings. pull out gear lever and pour down the hole.
