Challenger??

Post by mudbugga »

Looking at a Challenger as a family wagon plus hunting vehicle.
3l v6, auto, '97 180 odd ks.

Is there anything I should be aware of on these?
What are they like fuel wise?
Cheers guys ;)

Cheers Coxsy, I'll try and look up that thread ;)

Is there anything that I should look at in particular on these? Like a common issue fault?

Ha, I'm no technical guru! I pay money to a mechanic most times!

I can tell ya what I get as far as fuel consumption.

I drive very conservatively, and get roughly 12.5L/100kms, Majority of my trips are 30km's hilly open rd. (Don't live in a city) Keeping the rev's around the 2k mark. Thats with 31" firestone destination AT's.
Had 265/75 maxxis HT's when I got it, slightly smaller side by side, and once got 10.8L/100kms on a ski trip to Ruapehu. (However speedo was more generous with these tyres) And have not seen those numbers since!

If you like to keep up with traffic accelerating all the time, I would be looking at 14L or maybe more to be honest.
