Odlins Road to summit - Slip

Post by Muddboots »

Hey all,

Went up the main Odlins Road track today, and got about 600m away from the summit clearing and discovered a big washout intruding about a metre into the track. This meant there was only approx. 1.5m of track left, but the edge looked very crumbly with a very large drop.

So if anyone's thinking of going that way you'll need to take clearing gear to trim the overgrown bush on the other side of the track. Probably 1m wide x 7m long will be about minimum required.

Thanks for the tip. By summit, you mean the bit where you can turnaround before the tank traps? Was going to go up there today.

Hi all

Did the odlins road track last weekend. No issues getting to the summit/turnaround. Looks like the slip might have been cleared.

Still a damn fun track for a day out :)
