escudo handbrake cables

Post by charliemac »

one of my handbrake cables has seized on my 3 door escudo, i have a 2 inch suspension lift and 2 inch body lift in it so was wondering if 5 door cables would be better or just replace the seized cable with another 3 door cable.

does anyone have any handbrake cables for a escudo/vitara 1990

I've heard that 5 door cables do the trick in your case. The 5 door is 300mm longer so there should be plenty of spare cable.

In saying that you should be able free up the old one for warrant purposes using CRC or light oil but if the cable outer, boot or inner is damaged it will cease up again.

Check out the topic "Lift & 31's and stuff", apparently the mods to that vehicle left a set of cables spare...
