Drill the rubber between the inner crush tube and the out casing out , knock the inner sleeve out with a hammer , cut the outer sleeve with a hacksaw and use a punch or something similar to tap it out , to put the new one in you could use a big g-clamp or a porter power hydraulic ram.

No probs , obvisouly the better quality the drill bit the better it will work but any steel bit should be sweet

I find the ole mans hydraulic wood splitter and a piece of pipe a handy replacement for a hydraulic press. 8)

I would use some large washers, threaded rod, and some tube to extract and fit the new bush. I'm lucky that I have stuff like this lying around. Unfortunately my porta-power with a hollow jack is out on loan.
It is bit hard to explain, but i'll let this snap of a workshop manual to do the talking.
You could make your own tool, kind of like this one.

Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

Thanks will make me one of those when i recover from do the left one. Lol

I ended up following the earlier instructions wich i confirmed discussed with a local mac. Rather messy and time consuming.

Now the quetion is how do i get the new one in lol.... it tempting to hammer it in but that would be nasty. Im thinking of using a large vice , problem is i will have to ballance it on a jack lol. I dont have transport to get around to locate the parts to make a tool to push it in.
Any ideas ?

Use a long bolt or some threaded rod and two nuts with washers. Wind it in as far as the set up will allow and carefully use a big socket that fits perfectly around the outer sleeve of the new bush and tap the rest of the way in. Don't hit it too hard as the sleeve may "mushroom" and never fit all the way in. Would pay to spend the time cleaning the chassis hole out with emery paper or sand paper to give maximum bore diameter to start with.
To aid the very first part of insertion, you can file or grind a small leading chamfer in the outer part of the bush
